Motek ("we", "our", "us") is a couples task-sharing app developed by Oat Apps. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Data We Collect

We collect only what's needed to make the app work:

• Account information: Your Apple ID identifier (used for authentication via Sign in with Apple). We do not receive or store your Apple ID email or password.
• Profile information: The display name and avatar you choose within the app.
• Task data: Tasks you create, including titles, notes, due dates, and assignment information.
• Connection data: Information about your partner connection (invitation codes, couple relationship).
• Usage analytics: Anonymous event data (e.g., features used, screens viewed) collected via Firebase Analytics to help us improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain the shared task list between you and your partner.
• To authenticate your account and sync your data across devices.
• To send local notifications about task updates (only if you opt in).
• To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymous usage patterns.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which provides encryption at rest and in transit. We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Sharing

Your task data is shared only with the partner you connect with in the app. We do not share your data with any other third parties, except:

• Firebase/Google: For data storage and anonymous analytics.
• Apple: For authentication via Sign in with Apple.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you sign out or request deletion, your data will be removed from our servers within 30 days.

Your Rights

You can:

• View and edit your profile information within the app.
• Delete your tasks at any time.
• Disconnect from your partner at any time.
• Request full account deletion by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Motek is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page.
